Guelbenzu Azul 2003 Ribera del Quieles
Until they fell out with the wine beaurocrats Guelbenzu were the best producers in Navarra, now they operate using this new D.O. The mostly tempranillo blend is perfectly mature after 9 months in oak and over 3 years in bottle. There isn't a Rioja available that can compete with the quality at this price. Normally £9.25, special offer at £7.50 .We have 12 cases available at £85 per case.

Con Class Sauvignon 2005
If like me you think that young Sauvignon is far too acidic you  will enjoy the extra maturity of this wine. Special offer is £1 off  at £6.85 or £75 per case

La Bastide Corbiere rose
Dry rose with more flavour than most because of the high proportion of Syrah. Only lightly chill. We had 25 cases but after the Sharpham tasting have just 12 left at £4.95 each or £57 case.

Wine Tasting Events

The forty customers who came to the Sharpham evening last week all had a great time and we hope to create similar enjoyment over the summer, however as always spaces will be limited and I urge you to at least convey as soon as possible any interest you have in our events.

July 17th .....Claret
I would lilke as many as possible to taste the 2004 clarets which compared to 2006 and 2007 are under-priced, therefore we will be holding a Third Thursday tasting in the shop with an optional dinner at La Fourchette.Tasting £10, optional dinner £20

July 24th.....Burgundy....a wonderful opportunity
John Bishop has kindly offered his "house by the lake", Rosie from Sharpham will cook and Simon Hore will select the wines for a Burgundy Grand Cru tasting.Dinner and tasting will be £60 per head

August 21st....a visitor from the Rhone
this is yet to be confirmed but I am hopeful that one of our Rhone producers will visit Totnes for a Winemakers Supper.

September 16th...Boat trip
Our ever-popular river trip to Dartmouth with wine tasting and dinner. A visiting  wine V.I.P. is all-but finalised.
Cost will be £45 per head.
